Wedding FAQ's

1) Will you be the photographers shooting our wedding?
Yes. The person you meet with at your consultaion, either Jill or William, will be your primary photographer.

2) How much experience do you have as wedding photographers?
William and Jill moved their wedding photography business to Kansas City in 2005. Before that, they had several years of experience shooting weddings in New York City. Over the years, they have photographed over 300 weddings! They have experience shooting many different ethnic and religious ceremonies.This experience ensures that they have the ability to anticipate the important moments that occur throughout the day without missing a beat.

4) What style photography do you shoot?
We shoot a mix of photo journalistic, artistic, and portrait photography. We specialize in low light situations, allowing us to really capture the romantic atmosphere. We are innovative thinkers, always looking for a new way to look at a familiar situation. Coming from New York City greatly affects our personal style.

5) Do you shoot with film or digital cameras?
We use high end, Canon digital cameras, providing you with crisp and clear, high quality images.

6) What kind of equipment will you bring with you?
We bring two cameras with several lens each. We shoot with high end Canon equipment, including all L-Series lens. We bring an external flash for each camera to use when necessary. We bring a back up camera, flash, lens, batteries, battery chargers and extra compact flash cards.

7) How many photos will you take?
Because we work digitally, we do not limit the amount of images that we capture. We shoot however many images it takes to tell your wedding day story. This number is influenced by the length of your wedding day and the amount of portraits requested by you.

8) Will I receive printed proofs?
You have the option of adding a Proof Book to your package. Our Proof Book features all your proofs printed and bound in a hard cover, personalized book. The 8x10 book features your edited photos, six to a page. This keepsake is a perfect way to present your photos to family and friends.

9) Do you provide online proofing?
Yes. Your proofs will be available online for 12 months. You will have access to an owner website that gives you control over what photos remain available for public viewing, as well as allowing you to market your photos to family and friends. You and your loved ones can order prints and cards directly online.

11) When will my proofs be ready?
We try our best to have your proofs online 6-8 weeks after your wedding date (we edit each and every final photo).

12) Do you edit all of our proofs?
Yes. We edit every one of your proofs, taking out things like minor skin imperfections. We color correct all the images, turning some to black and white, and artistically enhance each image, presenting it at it's best. We stay away from trendy editing, as not to date your wedding photos. We can also remove scars, moles or tattoos upon request.

13) Who chooses the photos for my albums?
You do! You choose all the photos for your albums and we do what ever we can to make sure we get them in. Often we will add detail shots to aid in the design, but beautifully fitting in all of your choices is our first priority.

14) Will I receive high resolution files for print with a print release?
Yes. We release your high resolution image files (digital negatives) soon after the online release. These files are edited and print ready. We also provide a print release so the you can have your photos printed when ever and where ever you choose.

15) Do you charge for overtime?
There is a $275 per hour fee for two photographers and $200 per hour fee for one photographer.

16) Do you travel?
Yes. We are available for work internationally. Travel fees are assessed on an individual basis.

17) How do we book DiMartino Photography for our wedding?
We require a $500 deposit and a signed contract to hold your date. This deposit is applied toward your total balance.

18) When will my balance be due?
Your balance is due one week prior to the date of your wedding.

19) Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
